 The ACT Preparation Course

The ACT Test Review Class runs for 5 weeks, one day a week for 4 hours. Students learn test specific strategies, take practice tests, and get a good review of the subjects covered on the exam.

Spring 2011--hosted booth at Deland Wild Flower Festival

Pottery Studio and Program for AB Tech 1996

Pottery Instructor    (3/1996-4/2000)
AB Technical Community College ▪ Asheville, North Carolina

*Established state of the art pottery studio for Continuing Ed. department
*Developed program and curriculum to include six pottery classes
*Taught classes and hired additional staff
*Launched summer workshops for children   
Field trips to Seagrove NC for demonstrations and shopping twice a year.

I Helped Create a K-8 Charter School in NC


Creating a Charter School is like implementing an enormous grant.  I volunteered for a year and a half prior to opening--running the school from my spare bedroom.  (My kids were 3, 3, and 4) 




Director’s Assistant  (8/2001-/2004)                                                                                        
*   Instrumental in establishment of K-12 school start-up
*   Researched and administered NC Dept. of Public Instruction accountability requirements
*   Managed admissions, recruiting, parent meetings, school tours, and community service   
*   Coordinated fundraisers and assisted with grant writing
*   Facilitated communication between the Director, staff, faculty, and the Board of Directors
*   Established and coordinated relationships with outside organizations, speakers, and artists 
*   Searched for building location and facilitated renovations to NC building codes
